I guess this is kind of spiritual or something

So,
The other day I was walking around campus with a friend and for whatever reason I was REALLY tired.
Anyway some dude with a Haiti shirt comes up and asks us "If you could ask God any question what would it be?"

Well, my friend and I weren't too keen on answering but he kept following us so since he was wearing a Haiti shirt I thought he was like, an activist donations type person so I said "Why do bad things happen?"

So then he just repeated me, "Why do bad things happen" and ran away.

I don't know what was up with him. But I kind of wish I could've have thought of something more clever, like... I don't know. Something I'd actually want to know and can't look up on wiki.
Anyway, that was bizarre. I know He or They don't have much time to go answering questions but what would you ask? (lol obvious conversation-starter, sorry it's kind of HEAVY)

if god's all he's cracked up to be, why can't he take care of everyone?
unless he doesn't think that's his job.
I'm not really religious at all, but i guess if there is a job, he either doesn't have good planning skills, or sees earth like an science experiment or something.

Like, maybe he molds everyone individually! Like pottery or something?
So everyone is special in that way. EVERYONE IS BEAUTIFUL.

I'd have asked him why everyone calls him a him.
I mean. Why do we have a gender for him.
Then I'd have asked what religion he/she/it wanted me to follow. Cuz. if its real..then i want to get into heaven lol.

It's kind of presumptuous of Him to decide that kind of thing. Heaven I mean.
I honestly think we just rot in the earth.
Maybe God is really a non-gendered tree type thing.

I would be down with a non-gendered tree as a creator.
The whole creation thing... well anything could've happened. As far as science in general, like my neuroscience professor said, they're not in opposition of each other. God could have created science after all.

I guess the issues I have is with the whole thing after death. I just tend to believe that whatever you believe in will happen. So I don't believe in there being two opposing places like heaven and hell. What would be the point of that anyway?
